I am now into my fourth week without a car. I was ok at first, quite a novelty getting the bus to work, even walking to Loughton and back has been fine. Now I am a week into my summer holiday and FED UP of Loughton. Mum took me to Ilford on Wednesday but apart from that I am suffering from severe "cabin fever." The problem is….. very strange, every time I drove my car around the corner or over a bump, the hooter went off! I eventually had it removed (painful) and unfortunately the horn ring adjuster for a Fiat Multipla is a nightmare to get hold of! Now my car is over due MOT and tax, so has had to go “off road”. Laurence sent a fax to Fiat today giving them one more week or else we will go to “The Press!”
Watch this space…. because I am going … nowhere!
If the weeds grow any higher around the car we'll never be able to get it out!!
Posted by laura at July 16, 2004 05:57 PMHi Laura - Sharon here (friend of Neil's).
I was horrified to see a defunct Multipla on your photo - I am picking up my first ever Multipla on Sunday. Have I made a terrible mistake or is it the Fiat dealers (common problem, I hear)? we had a problem with our Mitsubishi a few months ago and found the answer was to write "cc solicitors" on the bottom of every letter we wrote to them.
Good luck - hope you are back on the road soon
Posted by: Sharon at July 20, 2004 01:07 PMDon't be too disheartened Sharon - I love my Multipla it is a great car. This is the first problem I have had in four years. Not the car's fault just FIAT. I am just p****** off without a car during the school holidays.
Good luck - what colour? There are some much nicer colours than when I imported mine from Ireland (It was one of the first Multiplas in teh country)
Hi Laura - I'm glad its not a total "don't go there" situation - although it's too late for me as it is now ordered.
We have decided on Atlantic Grey which is actually more like "North Sea" grey. I would have gone for yellow - on the basis that if you are going for something wacky, you might as well go the whole hog !
I have been thinking about a Multipla for some time and am now having to get in quick before they change the shape in September to something totally boring. I am also due to start a new job soon which will involve regular motorway trips, so I was looking for something comfy and reliable. I also thought that my two delightful small boys cannot possibly reach over to poke each other in a Multipla!
I hope your one is back on the road soon - it is so disabling to lose your road freeedom. I usually get sudden urges to go to weird places like Brent Cross when the car is in the garage. I wouldn't normally want to go there but just feel the urge when I know I can't.. Contrary...
Posted by: Sharon at July 21, 2004 09:43 AMColour is good - can't believe they are changing the shape!!! The whole appeal is to be wacky!!
Laurence told Fiat yesterday that the photo was ready for the press and loww and behold today the garage called and said there was a whole new steering column for the price of the part ready to go on. Sods law - the battery is now dead from being off road for too long and have no memebrship to AA -aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
Badly need your help. We are inclined to believe those whom we do not know because they have never deceived us. Help me! Can not find sites on the: Love my lace wigs. I found only this - lace front Wigs louisville ky. -, NY - All about Sole F80 Treadmill With best wishes ;-), Thera from Kuwait.
