Uncensored IOW 2006
Although you can follow my travels here I thought I would write about the things I could not on the school weblog!
First funny quote on the first night. A group of 4 boys were sitting at the table. One of them is Jewish and stricly kosher so was not eating nuggets like the rest of his table but had pizza.
M says to him:
"So then, what are you a Christian, lesbian, vegetarian or what,and can you eat chicken?"
Quote 2 - Delaying bedtime and maybe a little homesick T says to a member of staff.
" You know I have just been bitten by a scorpion or a water snake or something and I have very nasty bites on me!"
Quote 3 - Whilst a memeber of Staff was helping the children to pack up their cases.
Mrs Lautman " You know, You are all making me cross no-one is helping and we are not getting anywhere."
C (a 7 year old ) says calmly " I know, it's really pissing me off too!"
Quote 4,M aged 8..."My uncle knows about Japan, he's Japanish"
I also had a visit to A and E with a young chap who split his head open so that was a bit hairy. In and out of A and E in an hour (It may be worth a drive to the Island in an emergency)
All in all a fantastic 5 days - thanks team I love you all
