I cannot believe that I have been blogging for four years now! I’m still not sure if I actually like the term blogging? The term is short for "web log," a new form of expression enabled by the Web. They're like a half-way form between personal diaries and traditional journalism. Hence, the word “blog”. I prefer to think of it as a legacy that will always be there, a fingerprint or snapshot of life as I see it.
I was speaking to my dear friend May about this and although our children may not be interested in what we have to say now, the blog is a diary and photo album of their lives as much as ours.
You will never truly leave an accurate insight of your life, for example, who wants to write "We all screamed and shouted today and are not talking to each other , so here is a photo of that occasion”! Photographs will always reflect happy times and occasions, diaries maybe will give a slight insight, but to be truthful why would you want to say when you have been horrible or shouted and screamed? Why would you want to talk about the crap day at work? I have to be careful in case parents may find their way to my blog!
In the end, I know that my family love me very much and I love my family. It doesn’t matter if you are a loud shouty family or a quiet calm family; the fact that you have each other and can be together for the good times and help each other through the bad times is all that matters. Everything happens for a reason and the mistakes that you make on the way help to shape you into the person you are. Ultimately we are all responsible for our own destiny but as the umbilical cord is never truly cut we are there to help our children reach their destiny with as much ease as possible.
I hope this entire ramble makes a little sense…..My family, this blog is for you… I love you all . So here is just four years of legacy so far!
