Things are settling down in Transition class. They are beginning to listen and we are enjoying ourselves and learning at the same time. We had a lovely visit today from P.C. Andy and P.C. Debbie who told the children about life in the police force. They also learnt not to talk to strangers. Look out here for photos.
Just a couple of photos from the fire station. I am not allowed to put up pictures of the children's faces unless I have permission to do so. Therefore the one of their backs will have to do.

A career change for me.............I don't think so!!!
I bravely took my non-listening class to Woodford Fire-Station today. I have to say what a lovely end to an awful week. They listened really well and managed to walk in two’s to the Fire station (considering they are only 4 and 5 I thought it was excellent). We went in two groups. The fire fighters were so good with the children and gave us a tour of the fire station. The high light of the day was being allowed to squirt the hoses around the yard and going for a hair-raising ride on the fire engine (sorry appliance) with sirens and lights.
A big thank you to Blue Watch for making Transition’s day. A big than you to Transition (we’re getting there).
I don't ever remember missing an old class I much as I do at the moment. They were kind, caring and listened. They made me feel needed. Today, when I drew on the board and apologised for my bad drawing, there was no one to say, "I think it's good".
I'm sure I will get to love this class but at the moment they are very hard work. Their listening skills are not good and I forget how much they need us to do for them.
For all that they are only in their second week. The parents seem very nice. I just feel exhausted and emotionally drained.
Only six weeks and one day to half term!!!!

Have finally downloaded some of the holiday photos. Hope you all enjoy. Here are a selection.
The first selection of photos are from our first stop at the "Hotel Bitch" (not really it's name).
The children needed to let off steam.

The next day we all went to the Flower Festival.
Karen and Paul Dellin and family arrived to join in the fun.
We enjoyed eating out in Juan Les Pins.

That is all for tonight. I am getting tired and my eyes have gone funny, so look out for more photos over the next few days.
